A day in my life is usually very quiet.
But on Saturday, I had the joy of spending it with my husband, my grandson, my daughter and son-in-law.
Because we don’t live close to them, I treasure the moments that we spend together. The little guy is simply amazing! Full of laughs, and hugs and eager to explore the world around him! His mom and dad are pretty cool too! And of course, his Grandpa is just the best!
So, come join me on this day! It starts off bright and early with one happy little guy! 🙂
- Good Morning Grandma!
- And he’s off and running!
- Check out all these cool toys!
- On the move again!
- Story time with Grandpa
- Riding on his favorite horse
- Look mom! A cool new box to hang out in!
- A beautiful day for a walk in the park
- Pond at the park
- Doing push-ups with Grandpa!
- Pretty flowers and trees
- Snack time with Grandpa
- Cool things we saw along the way
- “Required” stop at Coffee Cat
- Snuggle time with Grandpa after the long walk
- Bathtime for Harold the cow – he had a long day!
- my daughter’s homemade granola
- the end of a wonderful day
I’m so thankful for each of these people in my life, and that we were able to share this beautiful day together!
Thank you for spending my day with me!
Being myself a triple granddad, I had also my share of family joy during Easter.
Ahh! That’s wonderful! Being a grandparent is probably one of the most amazing experiences in the world! 🙂 I am enjoying it so much! Hope you are too!
We have a total of 3 grandkids, but the other two were visiting their other grandparents on Easter! They are all such a joy to our lives!
Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful day, wonderful story, wonderful memories and how great you’ve got the little guy on caffeine already!!! I mean really, why wait? (Just kidding!) 🙂
It WAS a wonderful day! Thank you so much! You made me laugh! He didn’t get to share with me on that one, but the day before, he was smacking his lips at my cup that I was holding in my hand! His Mom was standing right there, or else I might have given him a little taste! (and…yes, I’m just kidding too!) But, really…isn’t that what Grandma’s are for?
You always make me smile. Being a grandparent is amazing but on the other hand being the parent of the grandparent is unexplainable. Watching my children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren makes my heart sing. I love you. Mom
Ahh….I love you too – I think I know a little about the song you are singing…it’s a happy song! 🙂
Very cute thanks for sharing these lovely photos 🙂 and thanks for following my blog, looks like you enjoyed a very happy easter 🙂
Thank you – we had a wonderful week-end together! Can’t get enough of the lil’ guys hugs though. I wish I could figure out a way to capture each moment and store it up for when I am away. I have some very precious memories, that’s for sure!
Those were great! A lot of work to put together and I loved looking them over!
Nancy
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look! It was a fun day together 🙂
What difference a grandchild makes. 🙂 From my experience with my in-laws, I am sure that your grandchild gets away with things that your own children were never able to. 🙂
Well, it is a lot different, that’s for sure! I’m not so sure about them “getting away” with more things, but I do know that it’s a lot more fun knowing that I don’t have to be the “enforcer” all the time! 🙂 We still have rules that they have to follow…but of course, we are pretty flexible too! 🙂
If I ever come across a “Coffee Cat” I will be required to stop as well! Coffee + cats = perfection!
Ha! Well, if you are ever in Santa Barbara – check it out! 🙂 They have pretty good coffee!
Sp special! My mom always used to say that love for your grandchildren is a unique emotion, a wonderful experience and a treasure to behold
Oh!! It is very special! Sounds like your mom speaks from experience, because she is absolutely correct! Grandchildren are a treasure! There is also something pretty special about watching your children with their children too…sometimes, it’s breathtaking, and yes, wonderful!
