Thankful Thursday: 3 Gifts Smelled

3 Gifts Smelled…

1. The smell of a newborn baby. Such a unique smell.  So sweet, so pure.  There is nothing quite like it in the world.

2. Coffee.  Yes.  The absolutely, wonderful and amazing smell of coffee.  I am so thankful for this!

3. And from my garden, I love the smell of the jasmine as it wafts across the yard.  I only wish it lasted a little longer.

These are just a few of the many things that I am so very thankful for today.

What are you thankful for?

Will you join me in looking for these gifts and sharing them with others?

Have a wonderful “Thankful Thursday“!

Lovely smels, all of them. THe newborn smell is fading slowly from my memory though. My baby is almost 2. Waaahhh. 🙂

Thank you – yep, I know what you mean, my baby is almost 30. But now I have he benefit of the memory being refreshed with a grand baby! They just grow up so fast, but I guess that’s a good thing too. We wouldn’t want them to stay babies forever either.

Yes! I love that newborn smell too. They do grow up fast. Your comment, Becky, reminded me of an article I read recently wherein the author asserted, “No one season holds all the joys.” There are joys in every season–even in the one I’m in right now surrounded by teenagers! 🙂

    • Becky says:

Oh so true! Some days the joys are a little harder to find, and might be very simple, but a joy none-the-less! I certainly would not want to be surrounded by teenagers, so I am VERY thankful for people like you who are willing and able to do this! You are a very special person in this world!
Julie, thanks for the kind words, hope you have a wonderful week-end! Hang in there with those kids! 🙂

A baby smell? Oh my, it has been a long time!!!! As always, I am thankful for your reminder to be thankful and for this day. This day I took off from work to just let myself indulge in what I want to indulge in. I mean, how wonderful is that!

    • Becky says:

Well, not the stinky diaper, spit up smell, silly! The other one that you really can’t describe, the one that just says “newborn baby”! It doesn’t last for long, that’s for sure! Glad you enjoyed some self indulgence – some days it just feels good! I noticed that you mentioned work…where are you working now? If I remember correctly, when I first met you on the blog, you were not working. Hope it’s something that you enjoy!
Have a wonderful week-end, and thanks for always leaving me with a smile 🙂

  4. I love your list, Becky! It doesn’t get any better than babies, flowers, and chocolates – except maybe I’d add a loved one’s aftershave.

    Blessings ~ Wendy

Thank you! I love YOUR list! I had actually thought of the cologne idea for this one too! That is certainly a smell that I REALLY do enjoy, especially if it’s on the guy I love 🙂

  5. I agree, these are 3 things that always smell fresh and puts you in a good mood!! Lovely list! I will have to add the smell of freshly baked biscuits!

    • Becky says:

Yes! Yes! I was also thinking of the smell of fresh baked bread (or biscuits) … always a pleasant smell indeed! Mmmm, just think about it, warm bread with melted butter on it, oh I think I can almost taste it! 🙂
