Thankful Thursday: A gift in sky, water, memory

A gift in the sky:

I’m thankful for the gift of airplanes…taking me to far away places, soaring high in the sky! (I’m also thankful that I don’t live in cold places like the one the airplane is flying over.) πŸ™‚

A gift in water:

I’m so very thankful that this bridge was built in the water, to go over the water to take me away to one of my favorite places…Coronado Island. A respite when my soul is weary.

A gift of memory:

Oh, this is a hard one because I have so many good memories, and so many things to be thankful for. Β But for this one, I’ll go back to a most recent memory…Β a memory I cherish and am so thankful that I was able to be a part of…this great memory when Grandpa shared his ice cream with our sweet little grandson.

A very precious gift…a very precious memory.

These are just a few of the many things that I am thankful for today.

It’s important to stop…take a moment…and reflect on the good things in life.

Will you join me in counting the blessings on your journey through life?

“Keep your eyes open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Oh, it was a pure delight moment! He doesn’t eat a lot of sweets, so it was super special for him! He kept saying…ICE CREAM!! after every bite. πŸ™‚ I’m in love…with both of them!

Some of the things you write about, I don’t really think about being thankful for them, until I read it here. Thank You!

  3. also love the quote by RL Stevenson. So true!
P.S. I live in one of those cold place that you are thankful for not living in! πŸ™‚ Sometimes it is hard to be grateful for -11 degrees! I’m usually thankful that I don’t have to go out. Or that our pipes didn’t freeze!

    • Becky says:

Oh my…that is cold! Really, REALLY cold! Yikes! But look…you found something to be thankful for in spite of the fact that it’s -11*! That’s awesome! Stay inside, drink lots of coffee, and stay warm! πŸ™‚
