I realized something yesterday as I was tending to my garden. I could get lost there for a very, very long time!
I meandered through the yard, pulling the miscellaneous weeds, nipping back unruly plants, and deadheading flowers. I inhaled the smells from the roses, the lavender and the herbs. Β It was invigorating, and relaxing, all at one time.
The cool breeze blowing gently through the trees, the beauty of the flowers and plants, even the dirt smelled good! π
Yep, I was lost in this wonderous place. The hours went by… no need to hurry, no feeling of stress or anxiety.
Just me, and my garden….a glorious place to be.
“In the garden I tend to drop my thoughts here and there. To the flowers I whisper the secrets I keep and the hopes I breathe. I know they are there to eavesdrop for the angels.” ~Dodinsky
These a beautiful pictures. My mom blessed me with many things, but unfortunately a green thumb was not one of them! Have a good week!
Thank you – I just do the trial and error method – sometimes it works… π
Hope your week is a good one too…take care of yourself!
Beautiful images! Being in the north, my garden is just barely getting started, so when I saw your pics and read “dead heading”, I thought, “Already? Wow!” There’s just something about being outdoors in the midst of God’s creation.
Thank you – we’ve had a rather mild winter this year. They are never too extreme, something is always growing, so there is always something to take care of. We get a little rain, and the plants go crazy! π I love being outside – find it hard to stay inside most days! Hope you get to hang out in your garden soon!
Your garden is quite lovely! I love flowers but have just taken to planting seeds like sweet peppers, squash, pumpkin and onions. So I have a ‘mixed up’ garden of babies which I can’t wait to get home to water and nurture. A garden is the best place ever. Thanks for sharing yours with us π
Well thank you! I have some veggies growing as well…I’m trying my hand at carrots and tomatoes, and some peppers too! I hope it will work.
A garden is a wonderful place to relax and let all your troubles melt away. You are so right about it being like a garden of babies π I love it!
Becky I concur! I love being in my garden and the time passes so quickly and peacefully. We have quite the veggie garden going this year with the help of my son and new daughter in law, we have a “family garden” going! Love to you my friend! Cheryl W.
What a nice surprise to hear from you … wow! you have a daughter-in-law!! π I’m so happy for you and your family. I remember lots of conversations about your garden, now I understand a little bit better just how wonderful it really is.
I hope everything is going well for you. I do miss our talks ….
Thank you so much for the sweet comment.Love to you too, my friend π
