It’s another “Thankful Thursday”, and it’s a beautiful one at my house. There is always, always something to be thankful for…and I’m always looking!
Today, I’m looking for a gift of peace, of hope, of love…
1. I’m so thankful for the gift of peace that I find when I spend time in this little place I call my “secret garden”.
It keeps me busy, it’s challenging, and probably keeps me from going a little bit crazy too!
2. And I am so thankful for the hope I have in heaven, and the joy of being reunited with these three once again. My two sisters, and my Dad. All three taken from this world much too soon. All three, missed dearly for oh so many reasons.
Some days, just a little bit more than others, but always missed.
3. And the greatest of these is love…I’m very thankful for this guy. He is the love of my life, my husband, and my very best friend. I can’t imagine my life without him, I don’t even like to let my brain go there.
I am so thankful, for his love for me…I am truly blessed.
These are just a few of the things that I am so very thankful for today. My heart is full of “good things”.
How about you? Take a moment, reflect on your day, and look for the good things, and if you feel inclined to share, I would love to hear what they are!
Until then, keep looking for the good things…they are out there. I promise.
“Life is not just about the good things or not just about the bad things. It is both. It all depends where you focus your attention.” ~ Ann Marie Aguilar
What a beautiful garden getaway! I am working on mine, so I am thankful for the resources and health that enable me to do. I am also thankful to have good relationships with my grown children. My second son comes here for lunch during his lunch break, so I get to see him almost everyday. And even though it is cold and dreary today, I am thankful for the rain. I appreciate when the Lord waters my gardens for me. [chuckle]
Agree with Rene – beautiful garden! Love the picture of your sisters and dad. Thanks for the reminder to be thankful today and everyday.
Thank you Irene, I just recently went through a bunch of old pictures and found that little treasure. 🙂
Love your peaceful garden and your wonderful thankful list.
Thank you so much – I love my garden too 🙂 It keeps me busy.
I’m greatful for:

Kawhi Leonard
My Husband
Not necessarily in the order 🙂
Oh boy! I hope it’s not in that order…but I’m sure your husband understands 🙂
Your ‘secret garden’ is just beautiful! No wonder you find peace there. Even though it’s not Thankful Thursday today, I’ll add mine. I find peace sitting on my porch swing on the front porch in the evening; hope always in my Savior and His Word; and like you, love from my best friend, my husband. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and for your contribution! I love your list – a front porch swing sounds delightful. I don’t have much of a front porch, so my backyard is my “go to” place 🙂 I love it that your husband is your best friend as well. A rare treasure, and something most certainly we can be thankful for.
Thanks again!
Beautiful reflections on gifts of hope, peace and love. Reflections that make us see life as a blessing that we will be always thankful for.
I love your garden! Oh do come and help me get mine looking that way! Although I have had blueberries off my bush every morning for breakfast for the past week. How very satisfying and totally cool it is to grow my own food! And the photo of hubs, reminds me of Pier 66 in Ft. Lauderdale, It’s a rotating room with 360 degrees of windows and every 66 minutes you make a complete rotation. Awesome pic! Hope as always you are well, and be thankful, which I know you are that your loved ones live with you always in your heart and your memories. 🙂
