We were reminded again this weekend of the much-needed requirement of endurance when spending time with a busy, busy three-year old!
My great-niece came to visit us this week-end, and I’m pretty sure she has more energy in that cute little body of hers than all 3 of my grandchildren combined!
While at the park, she challenged her Great Grandma to go down the slide with her….
Great Grandma will be 79 on October 11th….now that’s what I call endurance! 🙂
Celebrating the moments and enjoying the memories! Way to go Great Grandma!
Great memories being created
Thank you – She had the time of her life with that little one 🙂
🙂
This made me cry a little …so sweet.
Aww, you’re sweet! 🙂
I’d thought a similar thing (but haven’t blogged it yet) that raising children is the greatest endurance test of all. I loved seeing your mother on the slide – what a good sport she was!
Nancy
Oh Nancy, I know just what you mean and it seems like the “test” never ends 🙂
My mom was absolutely determined to go down that slide with her – I must admit, I was a little relieved when she actually made it down, and walked away on her own. She’s a pretty tough lady, that’s for sure!

Sometimes raising our mothers isn’t much different than dealing with the children!
Oh no! How did you know this?! It’s so true!
The worst is she pushes and pushes until we yell at her, then she backs down. Just like my daughter used to do when she was little. Argh!!
Awwwwwwwwwwww how cute! 🙂
