A gift Silent, Still and Strong….
1. I’m thankful for this silent moment spent in my garden reading my niece’s first published book, Crooked River.
2. I’m thankful for this beautiful place where I live, and for the opportunities I have to just be still and soak it all in.
3. And I am extremely thankful for his strong little arms that love and hold us with all their might…and show off a little from time-to-time too!
These are just a few of the things that I am so very thankful for on this “Thankful Thursday“.
It’s really true that there is always something to be thankful for, you just have to keep looking!
“We pray for the big things and forget to give thanks for the ordinary, small (and yet really not small) gifts.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Lovely as always. My word for focusing on this month is giving —
And I’m using the Bonhoeffer quote when I write my entry tonight. (I’ll link to your post.) More and more I am convinced that gratitude gets us through trying times.
Thanks.
Ahhh! Thank you so much! And thank you for the “gift” of kind words – always an encouragment to the soul. I’m with ya on the gratitude …the trying times are still there, but the load seems a little lighter when the focus is on the good things. Thank you so much for stopping by today! 🙂
Silent, still and strong…inspiring gifts that make us appreciate our daily blessings and to live each day with a thankful heart. Wonderful post. Wishing you and your family a great weekend. God bless…
