Thankful Thursday: 3 Gifts Found in my Mom

3 Gifts Found in my Mom:

1. My mom…she is an amazing lady who has experienced more pain in her lifetime than probably any one person ever should have to experience.  Through it all, she has managed to keep this amazing smile on her face, and in her eyes.

I’m thankful for her determination to stay strong, forever young at heart, and never, ever give up on life!

My mom and her beautiful smile!

2. Next to her family, her greatest passion in life is to teach….anything! From Chinese Checkers to English as a Second Language, and everything in between.  She loves to lead the way in the learning experience, and watch the “lights” turn on in the eyes of her “students”.

I am so thankful for her passion to help others improve and learn.

A & Great Grandma

Always looking for a “teaching” opportunity.

3. Most of all…I am thankful for my Mom’s unconditional love for me.  I haven’t always made life easy for her, you know how it goes in those angsty teen-age years, but in spite of me and all the dumb stuff I did (or didn’t do) she has always loved me and made sure that I knew it!

I’m very thankful for her never-ending, unconditional love for me!

Me and my Mom

My Mom…she loves me!

Thanks Mom! I love you!

Sorry you were having a bad day, I understand how discouraging it can be at times accepting the things that are seemingly out of our control. I would just encourage you to hang in there, and look for the good things in life…they are to be found, true, some days it’s harder than others, but there is always something to be thankful for 🙂
Take care, and I hope you have a good week.

  3. Don’t you love those old b&w photos of our parents? And that one of your mom is lovely! You are blessed to have your mom still with you.

    • Becky says:

Yes I do! Some of them are simply amazing! I recently scanned over a 1000 b&w photos that my mom had in a suitcase…a whole lot of history was packed in there! It was fascinating. Thank you for your kind words, and yes, I am indeed blessed! 🙂

What a lovely tribute to your mom. I recently wrote one to my mom. It was a joy to write about someone so dear to me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Lord for the honor of being Becky’s Mom – Through heart aches and trials, tear drops and smiles, what a special gift you’ve given to me.
You’ll always be my “blessing” and my “baby” – I love you – Mom
