An almost perfect double rainbow! It doesn’t happen very often around here…but when it does, I find myself in awe and admiration of our Creator!
I was in my car, and it was quite difficult, but I tried my best to get a good photo of it while I was stopped at the stoplight. Unfortunately, the light turned green, and I had to go before the people behind me got mad.
I guess they didn’t see it, or else they wouldn’t have cared that I wasn’t moving!
Join in the fun, and take the challenge….what or who are you in admiration of?
In response to this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge .
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this moment, this child, as he gathered all his cars together for a little circle time!
This little guy loves to be enveloped in his favorite blanket. If he’s not enveloped in it, it’s certainly not far behind…a little boy and a his blanket, a pretty happy place indeed.
Snug as a bug, he’s perfectly content in his happy place!
This is my contribution for this week’s photo challenge, enveloped. You might want to take a look at what other people have contributed by going here, or better yet, join in the fun and share a photo of your own interpretation of the challenge.
We were sitting in the airplane waiting for take-off when this huge wall of a sand/dirt cloud rolled up. The forces of nature were seriously at work that day in a way that I have never seen before!
I’m told that this particular “force of nature” is called an haboob:
Definition: A haboob (Arabic: هَبوب habūb “blasting/drafting”) is a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current. Haboobs occur regularly in arid regions throughout the world.
It took a little while for the dust to settle, and for the plane to take off…but in the mean time, I enjoyed watching this spectacular sight, especially from where I was sitting, safe inside the great big plane!
Oh the forces of nature…they are found everywhere you look, some are subtle and some, like this haboob, come roaring in!
I’m not really much of an “early bird” when it comes to getting up in the morning. I’ve left those days behind…but apparently the critter that came to visit my yard is quite the “early bird“, and it looks like they might have gotten a few worms for breakfast too! 😦
Hopefully, you have better things than a torn up lawn to greet you in your early morning hours of the day.
This is what my life without coffee would look like…just a blur!
Orange…is not a color I am typically drawn to.
However, it is beautiful, and bright and the world would be quite boring without it!
Oranges, fresh off the tree
Organic pest control
A little love in the garden
Succulents aren’t always green!
There is always a risk to planting a garden….but when there is success, the reward can be pretty sweet!
A few tomatoes, and romaine lettuce, fresh from my garden.
So tell me…what does reward mean to you?
Have a great week! 🙂
Symmetry (noun): the quality of something that has two sides or halves that are the same or very close in size, shape, and position; the quality of having symmetrical parts.
Oh how I love the symmetry of me and you, you and me.
Two unique “halves” that make us “whole” 🙂
I’m struggling with this photo challenge..
“This week, play with scale. Insert something into a scene to highlight size: your two-year-old in a field of flowers. A dime next to the huge cinnamon roll you picked up at the bakery. Shoot the giant pile of laundry making your couch look tiny by comparison.* Snap a picture of naturally occurring elements, like a Great Dane and Chihuahua together at the dog run. Share a photo from an airplane window showing us the plane’s engine against the ant-like background of the ground below.”
So this is it ….my “scale” photo!
“In and Out“…it’s worth the trip.
