Thankful Thursday: 3 gifts that start with “L”

3 gifts that start with “L“…

The first thing that comes to my mind, is my daughter, son-in-law and grandson….their last name starts with “L” and there are 3 of them 🙂

But, I thought I would add a little bit more, that just seemed a little too easy.

1. Life…I love the life I have with this guy.  He makes me feel so special.  OK!!…he spoils me.  A lot. And I love him so very much!

Sunshine and smiles

2. Laughter…We share lots of moments of laughter together …they don’t always photograph too well though.  But, we do enjoy laughing together, and bringing a smile to each other’s face.

3. Love…After all these years….I love him more today than I ever have. He really is the love of my life. I am so blessed to have this amazing man as my husband, and my very best friend.

Once again, these are just a few of the things that I am so very thankful for on this Thankful Thursday.  There are so many, many more things to be thankful for.  Big and small, they are everywhere you look…you just have to keep looking.

Thankful Thursday: 3 Gifts Framed by a Frame

3 Gifts framed by a frame….

An interesting challenge – when I think of things that are framed, I think of pictures.

The love of my life is framed in this frame.  A wonderful husband, and a very good friend!  In fact, he is my best friend!  We are happiest when we are together.  I am so very thankful for him and for our marriage!

Another thing framed in a frame is our house, and the windows in our house! The frame that holds the house together, and the windows that let in the light.   I’m so thankful for the frame that holds our little house together. It’s such a good place to call home.

And of course, these three little lives are all framed by one frame, but each one is so unique and special in their own way.  They’ve captured my heart.  I love watching them learn and grow, and giving them Grandma kisses every chance I get!

These are just a few of the many things that I am so very thankful for today.

What are you thankful for?

Will you join me in looking for these gifts and sharing them with others?

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Have a wonderful “Thankful Thursday“!

Hang in there!

So….I haven’t been feeling too well this last week or so.  Came down with this nasty cold that kind of just makes you feel like…well…….a smashed potato!

You know, the cold with the sore throat, snotty nose, and aching body.  I could have been the perfect specimen for the nighttime NyQuil commercial!

And through it all, my husband has been AMAZING!

So, this is a huge SHOUT-OUT to him for being so awesome and taking good care of me, and giving me all the things I need to make me feel like a “real” person again!

He’s put up with my heavy breathing…OK, he’s put up with my snoring! He’s cleaned the house, including vacuuming the floors! He’s cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for me too!

And…he has made me endless cups of tea (with lemon and honey added too!)

He hasn’t complained a single bit! Has offered words of encouragement at every turn.

Even when selecting the mug he used to put my tea in, he made sure it would brighten my day!

He is one awesome guy, and I am so thankful that he is in my life!

I know he is going to read this, so I just want to tell him……..(the rest of you don’t have to read the last line if you don’t want too!) 🙂

There just aren’t enough words to really express how I feel, but I LOVE YOU OH SO VERY MUCH! Thank you for taking such good care of me!  You’re the best!
