Thankful Thursday: A gift in sky, water, memory

A gift in the sky:

I’m thankful for the gift of airplanes…taking me to far away places, soaring high in the sky! (I’m also thankful that I don’t live in cold places like the one the airplane is flying over.) 🙂

A gift in water:

I’m so very thankful that this bridge was built in the water, to go over the water to take me away to one of my favorite places…Coronado Island. A respite when my soul is weary.

A gift of memory:

Oh, this is a hard one because I have so many good memories, and so many things to be thankful for.  But for this one, I’ll go back to a most recent memory… a memory I cherish and am so thankful that I was able to be a part of…this great memory when Grandpa shared his ice cream with our sweet little grandson.

A very precious gift…a very precious memory.

These are just a few of the many things that I am thankful for today.

It’s important to stop…take a moment…and reflect on the good things in life.

Will you join me in counting the blessings on your journey through life?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Layers

We took a walk in a lovely neighborhood on Coronado Island, and came across this very unique front yard!

I was intrigued by all the different layers of texture in this amazing front yard!

That, and the patience it would take to actually do something like this!
