Weekly Photo Challenge: Refraction

Refraction: the fact or phenomenon of light, radio waves, etc., being deflected in passing obliquely through the interface between one medium and another or through a medium of varying density.

……

The colorful array of lights from rows and rows of slot machines, refracting through a water feature in the middle of the room.

You have to play to win, so no, I didn’t win, but the people watching was fascinating!

I’m continually amazed by the “texture” of clouds. Here are just a couple of amazing formations that I was able to enjoy recently.

I love a clear blue sky…but clouds always bring some character with them.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Zigzag

The challenge for this week is to come up with a photo that is zigging and zagging. Two very interesting words, two very interesting motions to portray in a photo.

However, I think I captured it!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this beautiful butterfly in my backyard the other day, as it went zigzagging through the bushes.

Such a beautiful little creature…I’m so glad it came to visit!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Room

Now this is a room that I hope to never find myself in.

Ever.

These particular rooms can be found at the headquarters for the old San Diego Police Department. There was a time when they were well occupied, now they are only used for display in the museum.

I understand and am well aware of the fact that there are newer “models”out there.

I plan on keeping my distance from those rooms as well. 🙂

So far…so good!
