Oh these days!

These glorious days!

I still can’t get use to them!

These are the days that I would dream about when I was sitting in my cubicle at my desk.

Looking out the window and just longing to be…out…there!

Out where my feet could be free. Out where I could enjoy the warmth of the sun on my back. But more importantly, out where I could just kick back with my very best friend.

Yep! These are some glorious days! The days that are no longer a dream, but my reality.

This is my amazing life!

Calmer days ahead

Once again, it’s that time of the year. The time of year when football is finally over…at least for me anyway.

Whew! That was quite a season. Football and I, it seems as though we have a “love – hate” relationship.

Well, I’m not sure there’s a whole lot of love involved, but at times I do enjoy it. Most of the time, it just drives me crazy. It stresses me out, and frustrates me, but for some silly reason, I keep coming back for more!

But now, it’s that glorious time of the year between football and baseball. The time for something a little less stressful, a little more relaxing.

It’s time for golf. That’s right, golf!

Everything that football is, golf is not.

Football is “GET LOUD“…golf is “Shhh…Quiet please”

Football is fast and furious…golf takes on a steady, methodical pace.

Football is rough and rowdy…golf is polite, often referred to as the “gentleman’s sport” (ladies too).

Football requires eyes on the game at all times…golf allows my eyes to close, my body to relax and drift off to a nice afternoon nap.

Yes, it is definitely time for something a little less stressful.

Something calming, something quiet.

It’s time for an afternoon nap, and some golf!

Up before the sun!

It was a very early morning wake-up call for me today. And now, I’m off on another adventure!

I’m taking this trip by train. A mode of travel I really enjoy!

It’s easy. It’s relaxing. Its an opportunity to see the world from another vantage point.

It’s not nearly as stressful as air travel can be at times, although it’s not nearly as fast either!

But that’s ok.

I’m just soaking up life along the way. Looking forward to the smiling faces that will greet me when I reach my destination!
