Thankful Thursday: 3 gifts summer

For most of the world, Summer is winding down and transitioning to Fall.  For those of us fortunate enough to live in Southern California, Summer will still be around for a few more weeks!

So my 3 gifts of summer are….

1.  The ocean and the beach, bring sweet relief in the heat of summer.

La Jolla, CA

2.  The flowers of summer, bloom bright and beautiful!

Plumeria

3. The fun and the folly of kids playing in the sun.

“All in all, it was a never-to-be-forgotten summer — one of those summers which come seldom into any life, but leave a rich heritage of beautiful memories in their going — one of those summers which, in a fortunate combination of delightful weather, delightful friends and delightful doing, come as near to perfection as anything can come in this world.”
L.M. Montgomery

I must agree with her, it has been a summer to remember, full of so many wonderful moments to be thankful for! These are just a few of a multitude of a heart full of good things!

What are you thankful for?

Will you join me in looking for these gifts and sharing them with others?

““In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.”

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”

Just in time for summer!

Finally, the big day is here!  And just in time for summer!

I finally got my cast off!

Now if I can just figure out how to make my hand “work” again!

What a strange feeling, but oh,what a relief!

It’s healed up nicely, and the soreness from the break is gone  Next check-up is in 4 weeks!

I KNOW I can do this!
