Thankful Thursday: 3 gifts entwined

1. Our hands entwined, forever!
32 years and counting! I like to think that holding hands, might just be one of the secrets to our success! 🙂

2. A symbol of two sisters, and a reminder of how their lives entwined with mine. They are gone now, but I will never forget how their lives touched mine.

What about you?

There are a lot of bad things in this world, but there are a lot of good things too. I would love to hear more about the good things.

Will you join me in looking for these gifts and sharing them with others?

This weeks theme is “3 gifts entwined

Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

Weekly photo challenge: changing seasons

Well, as people often complain around here, we just don’t have a real dramatic change in the seasons.

I’m not one of those people!  Actually, this is one of the reasons why I like living here so much!

It’s so beautiful almost all year round, and the changing seasons  just means something new and different is growing and blooming!

However, I do appreciate the beauty of change, and we are fortunate enough to see the beautiful fall colors on some of the trees, usually in late November and December.

This picture was taken on the Westmont Campus in beautiful Santa Barbara CA.

Yes, it really is a beautiful campus!  (A common refrain we often hear from anyone who has ever been on this campus.)

Big, billowy white clouds, and the silhouette of the trees in my backyard.

Weekly photo challenge: Big

I’m standing on the ground, looking up through some of the tallest trees I have ever seen in my life!

These trees are BIG! This view was breathtaking!
